When my wife and I moved to the DC area from Hawaii, we didn’t know whether we wanted to buy or rent, much less where we should live or what we could afford. We figured that we would just find a place on Craigslist or real estate sites like we had in Hawaii, but we very quickly found ourselves completely overwhelmed in such a large and diverse market. Fortunately a friend of ours, who had enjoyed a great experience buying their house, recommended Pam to us. Pam’s patience, professionalism, and general good cheer through the entire process not only landed us in a great house in a great neighborhood at a great price but also made finding our house a pleasant experience. We were not prepared for how complex the real estate market in the DC area is. After going to dozens of open houses that were always in a part of town that we did not realize were the wrong part or did not look anything like the pictures, we were really frustrated. After we were put in touch with Pam though, she walked us through our options in a completely sensible and understandable manner. She helped us to prioritize what we wanted in a house and a neighborhood so that we could start to search in a coherent way and find a really great place that fits us. She listened throughout, and I never at any moment felt like Pam was trying to push us to pick something so that she could move on. I honestly felt like Pam was committed to helping us find the right place no matter how long it took. Once we settled on a house and got into escrow, Pam was as spectacular as she had been while we were finding the house. Pam helped us find a loan officer who was able to get us a loan even in the currently extremely tight market, and a very helpful escrow company. | In the Summer of 2007, we had the opportunity to purchase our dream home, and the daunting task of selling our existing home in increasingly difficult market.
